Annual Assessment Reporting

All graduate programs at Oregon State University report annually on their Graduate Learning Outcomes in an assessment report. These reports are due to Assessment and Accreditation on November 1st of each year (unless accredited college requests otherwise). Program Learning Outcomes need to be consistent across all locations and modalities. The Faculty Senate approved Graduate Learning Outcomes are listed below. 

LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR PH.D. DEGREE PROGRAMS STATE THAT THE STUDENT SHALL:

  1. Produce and defend an original significant contribution to knowledge.
  2. Demonstrate mastery of subject material.
  3. Conduct scholarly activities in an ethical manner.

LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS STATE THAT THE STUDENT SHALL:

  1. Conduct research or produce some other form of creative work.
  2. Demonstrate mastery of subject material.
  3. Conduct scholarly or professional activities in an ethical manner.

The assessment reports are evaluated by the Assessment and Accreditation staff using the Graduate Assessment Report Evaluation Rubric.
